These two kids were so much fun! I am so glad I got to photograph them! We went to Wheeler Farm, which I haven't been there since my kindergarten field trip "x" number of years ago. (Cough, 22 years, cough cough) I really don't remember much about that trip, except I had a little yellow construction paper chick pinned to my shirt, designating me in the "chick" group. LOL! I think we may have been given a little horse shoe, but I'm not 100% on that memory. ;)
Luckily the sun was just right to give us some fantastic, golden backlighting. I love the whimsical touch that gives a photo!

Jill
My dear, darling friend Jill volunteered to be one of my guinea pig models, and I am SO glad she did. I could not have had a more beautiful model to work with! She is seriously one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I have ever known. And her husband is such a dear! Seriously, my most favorite love story ever, right there with those two. Jill writes a fun recipe blog, The Nummy Little Blog. Every time she posts, I feel the need to go grocery shopping so I can cook whatever she's posting. It all looks so good!
We had so much fun in downtown Salt Lake at Abravanel Hall and at the Trax station on South Temple right in front of Abravanel. There was even a random hot dog stand! GENIUS! My little Bridger was being my little art director, telling us where to take pictures next. Sneaky little kid even got Jill's hot dog out of it. LOL! And a Jolly Rancher . . . man that kid knows how to work it! ;)

So Much Adorableness!!
I got to photograph these adorable kids yesterday at the Provo Library. Such cute kids!! They were so adorable with each other. My youngest son, Bridger, tagged along. I let him use my Canon to take pictures as well, to keep him entertained. He took some fun ones, I'll post later. :)

More Travis & Marci
There were SO many fantastic images of these two, I was glad when Travis asked if there were any more images I might be able to edit for him. I'd photograph these two any day, they made it easy! I did do color edits of these images as well, but the black and white ones were really speaking to me this round!

Spread the Word!
My 8 year old daughter has always been very aware of the homeless people that we see out in the community asking for money. For a long time she's wanted to do something to help and is always thinking of things she can do to raise money. Everything from making bracelets to sell at school, to performing for people in our apartment complex. The other day she was talking about the possibility of making blankets for them with my mom to take to a local shelter. This seemed like something we could do. I've contacted the shelter to see if this was something that was needed. I haven't heard back, but I did see other things on their website that we could do if blankets aren't needed. Hygiene kits, craft projects to do with their kids in the playroom and other things. So if I hear back from the volunteer coordinator that blankets aren't needed, I've got back up plans! But I think if we did blankets, it'd be more for the kids there. Every kid needs their own special blanket! :)
So here's where I come in. I thought, what can I do to help my daughter achieve here goals? I certainly can't afford to fund the blanket production. But I CAN help her earn money for fabric! So I'm going to set aside several days to do mini shoots for people. 30 minutes, 10+ images edited on a disc with a copyright release. I've set it at a $50 donation, but we'd be happy to take whatever anyone can afford to donate. I don't want to exclude people if $50 is too much.
If you'd like to donate, but don't live nearby or aren't interested in photos, that's ok too! I promise. ;)

My Little Slice of Heaven
When I was a kid, I remember thinking that sunsets were Heavenly Father's way of letting us see heaven every night.
As a grown up, I don't think I was wrong in that thought process. ;)
I think I'll add these to my Print section as well. I think they'd be amazing on canvas!!
